About Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe

Located at 130 Luckie St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe operates as a bakery serving Atlanta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 797-7422. Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Great bakery with good ambient. I saw families and also people working on their computers. Staff was kind and helpful resolving questions (Shotout to Avry). It has great regular desserts like a red velvet cake or fruit tarts. But they also have outstanding pastries like the Georgia Peach. Never have I tasted a peach flavor so present as in this pastry, it had many different textures. If you have a sweet tooth you definitely have to try it.

I stopped by Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe while attending a work conference in Atlanta and was really impressed. They have a huge selection of baked goods, pastries, and desserts, with plenty of unique options to choose from. Be sure to go earlier in the day if you can, as many of the most popular items sell out quickly. The cafΓ© has a trendy, modern atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax with a coffee or specialty drink. The coffee and beverages were excellent and paired perfectly with the pastries. Overall, it's a great spot to visit if you're in Atlanta and looking for high-quality baked goods and a good cup of coffee.

I absolutely loved the vibe of this cafe and bakery. It felt a bit fancy for a bakery, but in a really nice way - it reminded me of the stylish coffee shops you see in Korea. The space had high ceilings, beautiful light fixtures and chandeliers, and plenty of seating, which made it feel spacious and comfortable. Most importantly, this place felt like an amusement park for cute desserts. Everything was so creative and beautifully made that just looking at the pastries made me happy. We tried the strawberry croissant, salt bread, twisted bread, and a red bean donut coated with sugar. Everything was delicious. At first, I wished the pastries had been served warm, but later I realized there was a mini oven where customers could heat them up themselves, which was actually a nice touch. I also had an iced latte, and it was perfect for me. Personally, I liked it better than Starbucks because it didn’t have that strange aftertaste that Starbucks lattes have. My kid really wanted to try the shaved ice (bingsu), but unfortunately it wasn’t in season yet. We’ll definitely have to come back for that. Overall, such a fun and aesthetically pleasing place with great pastries and coffee. Defi

The service was truly excellentβ€”warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, even during what was clearly a very busy rush. It made a great first impression. I did find the bakery selection a bit limited in terms of flavor variety. I was especially hoping to see options like cantaloupe, ube, or matcha, particularly in the cream rolls. We tried the Swiss Cream Cheese, Garlic Sausage, Croquette Beef & Veg, Red Bean Bun, Salted Bread, and Buttercream Bread, along with two iced lattes. The food items were all delicious and reasonably priced. The lattes, while very good, were on the higher end at $8 for a 24 oz iced drink. I was also a little disappointed to see an additional charge for dairy-free milk optionsβ€”it’s something many places have started including, so it stood out. Overall, I would still recommend this spot, just with the expectation of a slightly higher price point than you might anticipate.

This cafe is a hidden gem for anyone who loves fresh baked desserts and classic European style treats. The moment you walk in, the display of pastries, cakes, and baked goods grabs your attention. I tried some pastries, and everything tasted fresh with a nice balance of sweetness without being overwhelming. The texture and flavor felt authentic, and portions were quite generous, making it easy to share or try multiple items. The place has a cozy and welcoming vibe, though it can get busy during peak hours. Seating is somewhat limited, so many people prefer to grab their desserts and enjoy them outside or on the go. Parking is available nearby with street spots and paid parking options depending on the time of day. No reservations needed, just walk in and pick what you like. My tip would be to go earlier in the day for the best selection since popular items tend to sell out later. It’s a great stop if you’re in the mood for something sweet and freshly baked.
